Job description:
The Labrador Inn at Happy Valley-Goose Bay / Newfoundland and Labrador is looking for Full time Cook
This position need stand for extended periods, work under pressure, team player, reliability
As cook, your duties may include:
- Ensure that all food orders are complete to standard and within the specified time frame
- Prepare for upcoming day in advance as directed by the Executive Chef
- Ensure constant knowledge of the menu
- Maintain daily schedule of work to ensure all food is prepared for presentation at the specified time of demand
- Ensure all opening duties are completed at the start of the shift
- Ensure all closing duties are completed at the end of each shift
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef
- Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Education Requirement: Secondary (High School)
Work Experience: 1 year to less than 7 months
