Job summary:

Pizza Pizza is a Canadian fast-food franchise operating since 1967 and is a leader in the food service industry. This restaurant specializes in pizzas and various other fast-food items such as chicken wings, sandwiches, panzerotti, plant-based chicken sandwiches, creamy garlic chicken sandwiches, various options for hot wings, fries, potato wedges, onion rings, etc.

Job description:

We are looking to hire a full- time “Cook” who could be a part of our team. Our restaurant is located at 958 Garth Street, Hamilton, ON L9C 4L4. 

Hours: 35- 45 hours/ week

Salary- $15.50 per hour

Duties:

• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
• Recruit and train staff
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions
• Estimate food requirements and costs
• Monitor and order supplies

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of food safety and public health practices
• Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required
• Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and work well with others in a team-based setting.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings

Education:

• Completion of high school is required

Experience:

Minimum one year of work experience as a Cook or in a similar role would be an asset
