Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time (40 hours/week)

Location: Etobicoke, ON M9W 6P6

Salary: $24.20/hour

Vacancies: 3 vacancies

Start date: As soon as possible

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Load and unload goods
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Transport and handle dangerous goods
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Valid passport, Bondable

Transportation/Travel Information

Willing to travel for extended periods, Valid driver's licence, Willing to travel overnight

Communication Systems Experience

Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)

AZ class license, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
