Job Summary

Our firm requires one skilled and experienced Network Administrator to add to our growing team and work on existing and upcoming projects. Our ideal candidate is skilled, adaptable, self-motivated and works well as a part of a team.

 

Job Title: Network Administrator

Job Description and Duties:

  • Create, publish and maintain up to date and accurate Network documentation
  • Collaborating with peers to execute daily operations and special projects
  • Manage and support LAN and WAN Network devices
  • Updating and maintaining network equipment
  • Analyze and diagnose network problems for a variety of users
  • Ensuring desktop and laptop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks
  • Coordinating with vendors to resolve technical problems with network equipment and software
  • Applying a deep technical understating of industry standards network infrastructure and technical solution trends
  • Participate in the migration, basic configuration and roll out of new or upgraded hardware
  • Marinating records of client’s information systems and ensuring compliance at all levels within project teams
  • Sharing knowledge, discoveries, ideas, challenges and solutions with peers, Managers, and Executives

 

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Long Term


Hours of Work:
35 hours per week

 

Wages:  $29.00 per hour

 

Overtime: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations

 

Benefits Package:

 

  • Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer
  • Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis

 

Location of Work:

  • Suite 300, 3665 Kingsway Vancouver, BC V5R 5W2 Canada

Anticipated Start Date of Employment:  As soon as possible

 

Education, Experience and Language Requirements:

  • Two years’ experience as a Network Administrator with good working knowledge in the areas of network support, systems and security
  • Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, Web technology or a related field and/or Certification or training provided by software vendors is an asset
  • Verbal and written English communication skills
