We will provide:
- Minimum of 35 hours/ week throughout your employment period
- Paid Vacation of 2 Weeks each year or 4% of salary
- Pay ranging within $24.50 - $28 per hour
Duties
- Ensure consistent and high-quality food preparation and presentation according to restaurant standards
- Guide preparation of exquisite Indian cuisine
- Adapt dishes for customers with specialty diets, allergies, and intolerances
- Demonstrate excellent food preparation practices, portion control & end to end food production.
- Create new traditional Indian Curry and/or Tandoor recipes
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
- Assist in hiring and training staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
- Participate in maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment’s.
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
- Prepare traditional Punjabi Indian curry and/or tandoor dishes
Requirements
- Secondary School Completion
- Minimum two years of experience
- Ability to legally work in Canada
