2140363 Alberta Ltd. o/a Old Town Restaurant is looking for a Full-time, Permanent Chef.

(We can consider Part-time as well as Full-time applicants)

Position: Chef (NOC 6321)

Employer: 2140363 Alberta Ltd. o/a Old Town Restaurant

Work location: 2007 Mistassiniy Road, Wabasca, Alberta T0G 2K0

Salary: $19.00/hr-$25.00/hr depending on experience, based on 30-36 hr/wk & overtime rate provided after 8hrs/day, and 44hrs/wk   

Paid Vacation: 4% vacation pay

Language: English

Education & Experience:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • 3~5 years of relevant work experience or completion of a program in cooking.  

Job duties:

• Prepare and cook complete meal course or individual dishes using recipes

• Work with the owner to prepare high-quality dishes in keeping with the Restaurant’s standards

• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy and meat, etc.)

• Prepare and trim necessary ingredient for our menu (such as vegetables, fruits, meats, fishes, etc)

• Prepare and make all the sauces being used for cooking

• Ensure food is prepared on time for all service periods

• Participate of menus plan, determine side of food proportions

• Effectively communicates with department heads in the food services, beverage, and related support and operating departments.

• Maintains systems & procedures for ordering, receiving storage, preparation & service of food.

• Ensures all operations follow safety and health guidelines in accordance with Government public health & sanitation regulations.

• Minimizing waste to ensure Food Cost meets

• Train and supervise the kitchen staff in order to ensure productivity in the kitchen and assist as needed
