KHALAS SWEETS & FOOD LTD (DBA: GREWAL SWEETS & FOOD)  is looking for a Sweet maker and Pastry cook to join their restaurant located in SURREY, BC.

Position: Sweet Maker/ Pastry Cook (NOC: 6322)

Vacancy: 1

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 

Language: English 
Education: Completion of Secondary School. 
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Wage: C$ 18:00/hour

Working Hours: 40hr/week; Full-Time (Permanent)

Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible

Location: UNIT 105, 17760, 56 AVENUE, SURREY, BC, V3S 1C7

 

The qualified Sweet Maker/ Pastry Cook will perform the following duties:

• Cook complete meals and individual dishes.
• Determine the food portions.
• Estimate food requirements and cost.
• Inspect kitchen and food service area.
• Make sure the food is stored at right temperature after cooking.
• Clean kitchen and work area.
• Follow all the safety precautions for the safety of the customers and the workers.
• Monitor and order supplies.
• Attentive enough to take care of sweets with special orders with allergies.

• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

 
Cuisine Specialties: Indian Sweets and Pastries.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods.

 

Candidate should be willing to work on all shifts (Evening & weekend)
