Job description:
Galaxy Freightline Inc. located at 1580 Britannia Rd E, Mississauga, ON L4W 1J2, requires 20 Long Haul Truck Drivers on a Permanent full-time basis. Wage: $27.50 per hour for 40 hours per week. Must have 2 years to less than 3 years verifiable experience. Additionally, 10 paid vacations and 10 paid sick leaves will be provided. Job duties of Long-Haul Truck Drivers
- Must be licensed and able to drive a tractor/trailer in a safe and proficient manner
- Responsible for inspecting the vehicle to ensure it is in proper operating condition, fueled and ready for dispatch
- Completion of required internal and compliance paperwork
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Use on board computers and communication devises to contact dispatcher and other drivers.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report accidents or violations in timely manner
