Job Duties:
• Maintain safe and healthy environment in the home.
• Prepare children for rest periods.
• Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers.
• Take children to appointments.
• Bathe, dress and feed children.
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding child.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Supervise and care for children.
• Tend to emotional well-being of children.
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
Job Requirements:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Experience/Training: 1 year of related work experience OR 6 months of Training Certificate is required.
Languages: English.
Hours of employment: 40 hours/week 10 am to 6 pm
Security and Safety: Reference required.
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking.
Personal Suitability: Judgement, organized, Reliability.
Work Setting: Employer’s home.
Preference will be given to Canadians/Permanent residents and Aboriginals.
