Altro Industries Inc. (dba Cancorr and altolabels) is a commercial printing packaging manufacturer expanded to new line of business to produce corrugated sheets. We are looking for a full-time permanent Control Room Operator for our new manufacturing plant in South Surrey. Our goal is to provide Western Canada with not only the best quality products but also the most environmentally friendly operations.

Hourly wage: $34
Hours per week: 40

Task and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out Dry End checks on the final board – Dimensions, scoring, bonding, and heat.
-Responsible for waste control throughout the machine center (DRY/WET end) and for accurate recording of production and waste data within CTI
-Adjust sections of the machine as well as side slitters, trim and cut-off knife during the entire run to ensure proper quality is being maintained
-Directs and assists crew members to ensure efficient, safe, and quality manufacturing
-Troubleshoot when operating issues on the machine occur
-Monitoring and balancing temperatures on the machine
-Assists other departments and/or areas as requested by management or supervisor
-Train other colleagues to pass on knowledge and expertise
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- At least 1-2 years of experience
- Experience in Corrugated industries is an asset
- Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, Bending, crouching, kneeling
- Personal Suitability: Multi-task, detail-oriented, self-motivated, problem solver, strong communications skills
- Language of work: English
