Job Description
Mann Bros Meat Shop located at 8615 120 Street, Delta, BC V4C 6R4 are looking for 3 full-time Meat Cutters who can:
• Cut, trim, and otherwise prepare standard cuts of meat, poultry, fish and shellfish for sale according to customers' orders
• Grind meats and slice cooked meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
• Prepare special displays of meat, poultry, fish and shellfish
• Shape, lace and tie meats, poultry or fish
• Manage inventory, keep records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products according to company and customer requirements
• Operate Point of Sale and perform financial transactions
• Ensure food storage conditions are adequate
• Clean, sweep and vacuum product spills and clean up work areas
• Check products and packaging for basic quality defects and make necessary corrections
• Perform basic quality control, including bag seal checks to ensure the quality of products while receiving, storing, and shipping
• Inspect and clean equipment and tools before and after use
• Stack smaller bags in a box or pallet
Skills Requirements
• Completion of secondary education is required.
• No prior experience necessary. Some previous experience as meat cutter will be asset. On the job training will be provided to the willing candidate.
• Good communication skills are required.
Benefits
As per BC Employment Standards act, 10 days paid vacation annually or 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each period.
