Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Work locations: Various locations in Lower Mainland (BC) and/or as per company’s contracts with its clients
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines.
- Work in safe manner and in accordance with all safety standards, practices, procedures and ensures personal protective equipment is worn where required.
- Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping and sprinkling systems.
- Remove and replace defective components and reactivate system.
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system.
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape.
- Weld, braze, cement or solder pipes and joints.
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment.
- Select type and size of pipe required.
Education, Skills & Experience required
- Completion of high school.
- Education in relevant trade or minimum 3 years of relevant experience in trade.
- Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
- Sound judgement, analysis & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate in English
