Islands West Produce is a locally operated fruit and vegetable processing plant located in 4247 Douglas St, Victoria, BC V8X 3Y7.

And currently looking for Production Helpers (NOC: 9617) to join a dynamic and growing team.

• 7 full time- permanent positions available to start as soon as possible
• Wage: $17.50 per hour / 40 hours per week
• Language: English
• Location of work: Same as company address

General Requirements:

• No required education or experience
• Repetitive tasks
• Manual dexterity
• Hand-eye coordination
• Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling

• Cold/refrigerated work environment

What you will do:

• Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials
• Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
• Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
• Feed and unload processing machines
• Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines
• Follow emergency and safety procedures
• Food safety/handling skills
• Record production information
