Company Description:
Our company is specialised in custom cabinetry, millwork, and vanity design projects within the residential and commercial space. We have been operating and crafting kitchens and millwork designs for over 26 years, and we are proud to admit that our work has been gaining us local recognition and referral projects. As we are growing and receiving more projects, we would like to invite two cabinetmakers to join our team with the following responsibilities and requirements:
Duties
- Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made, or prepare specifications;
- Mark outlines or dimensions of parts on wood;
- Detaching, installing, and building new cabinets, specifically, kitchen cabinets;
- Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components;
- Spraying, building, and dipping assembled articles with protective or decorative materials, such as varnish, stain, or paint;
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit using; glue and clamps and reinforce joints using nails, screws or other fasteners;
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products;
- Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures and related products;
- Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products;
- Reinforcing and trimming joints using nails or screws.
Requirements:
No specific education or work experience are required. However, you should be able to:
- Draw and construct new builds;
- Measure, draw, layout, create a scope of work accurately;
- Demonstrate skills in the safe operation of shop tools such as a table saw, shaper, router, paint sprayer, edge-banding machine;
- Demonstrate the creativity and adaptiveness to work at different job sites routinely;
- Display good manners and attitude toward property owners, occupants of the property, co-workers, and sub-contractors;
- Maintain professionalism with co-workers, homeowners, and clients;
- Meet timeline expectations required by the customer and project manager;
