Position: Drywall and Ceiling System Installer (NOC 7284)
Head Office: 107, 15336 67 Avenue, Surrey, BC V3S 8S4
Job Location: Candidates are required to work at various locations in the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Number of openings: 5
Wage: $27.00/Hr

Job Duties:
Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound, Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
Work setting: The candidate should be available to work full time in the day, evening or weekends, if required.
Working conditions: Job is physically demanding. Ability to lift 23kgs (50lbs) is an asset. The candidate should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain and shine.
