Job Title: Trades Helper - Construction
Job Duties:
The worker will tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, mix, pour and spread materials, load and unload and transport construction materials, level earth to fine grade specifications, erect and dismantle conrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades, assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, assist in demolishing buildings, assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs, clean and pile salvaged materials, clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, read and interpret blueprints and assist in driling and blasting rock on construction sites.
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time 40 Hours / Week
Language of Work: English
Wage : $26.50/ hour
Job Requirements:
Benefits: Enrolment to BC MSP, WCB and Extended Health Benefits
Job Location: Various Greater Vancouver Locations
Skills Requirement: Must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or its equivalent for foreign graduates and has work experience of less than 7 months. The worker must have First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Specific Skills: The worker can operate or use mortar and concrete mixers, drills, air compressors, reciprocating saws, circular saws, air gun, nail gun and grinding machines.
