Position: Herdsman (NOC 8252)

Experience: 1-2 years or a combination of education and experience

Number of Openings: 2

Wage: $17.50/hr

Job Duties: 

Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures

• Maintain financial and production records
• Provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses
• Negotiate with clients for the provision of services
• Develop work schedules and establish procedures
• Maintain quality control and production records
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
• Perform general farm duties
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment

Working conditions: The candidate should be able to work outdoors, indoors, rain and shine. The Candidate should be able to work full-time hours.
