Position: Refrigeration Mechanic - 7313
Duration: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hrs/week
Salary: $35.00hr
Overtime: $52.50/hr (As per BC Standards – for over 8 hrs/day; 40 hrs/week)
Observed Holidays: As outlined on labour.gov.bc.ca – 10 stat holidays/yr

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Minimum 1 years related experience
Language: English
Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Duties:
- Read master plans to determine the location, size, capacity, and type of components needed to install a refrigeration unit.
- Comply with all the applicable rules and standards of city and province regarding the material to used and process to be followed while completing a job.
- Follow proper safety procedures and maintain clean work area.
- Test mechanical equipment to ensure that the whole system is working well.
- Disable equipment to inspect malfunctioning, dismantle them and test components using electrical and mechanical equipment/
- Drill holes and install mounting brackets and hanger into floors and walls of building.
- Cut bend and connect pipes to functional equipment. Cut material according to specification and requirement of refrigeration unit.
- Charge system efficiently by pumping specified gas in system and adjust system for optimal performance.
