Job Description

Golden Express Trucking Inc in Surrey, BC is looking for an experienced and skilled Truck Drivers Supervisor to join at the earliest.

Job Duties

• Supervise, co-ordinate, oversee, and schedule the activities of workers who operate trucks, trailers, and long combination of vehicles for Golden Express Trucking Inc
• Supervising employee performance, allocating driver assignments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining all vehicles in top working order
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve performance
• Oversees the loading and unloading of company vehicles
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Maintaining all company vehicles in top working order
• Coordinating with mechanics and vendors to up keep the equipment
• Serve as a point of contact for mechanics, towing personal, drivers, customers etc
• Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
• Dispatch company drivers and monitor routes to ensure schedules are met and to resolve operating problems
• Prepare work reports and monitor expenditures
• Occasionally perform the same duties as workers supervised to meet company’s operational requirements

Eligibility requirements

• Completion of Secondary school is required.
• 3 or more years experience as a driver or operator in the industry is required.
• Class 1 or A drivers license will be a real asset to have, but not mandatory.
• Good communication skills is a must with excellent inter personal skills.

Benefits

$50 phone allowance per month per month will be provided.

As per BC Employment standards 10 days of paid vacation annually or 4% vacation pay of the gross salary
