Title: Cook (NOC 63200)

Positions Available: 4

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $16.50 per hour, $24.75 per hour after 40 hours/week

Benefits: 4% vacation pay

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Education: Completion of Secondary School required.

Employment Requirements:

a)      Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or

b)      Completion of college or other program in cooking or

c)      Several years of commercial cooking experience are required.

Job Description:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work area
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• Train kitchen staff.

Experience: Minimum 2 years or more of cooking experience is required.
