At Paul, bread and pastries are baked fresh in-house daily by French-trained chefs, according to the bakery restaurant. Additionally, the café location has breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner menus, promising "an authentic French experience."

We are currently hiring a full-time Baker for our kitchen, who will bring their culinary passion and skills to support our team.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As soon as possible

Position available: 1

Wage: $17.00

Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week

Job Duties:

• Make doughs for pastries, cakes, and cookies according to recipes and assist in the preparation of pastry decorative, such as icings and frostings
• Finish the cake and pastries with decorative and prepare for display, make sure meeting standard
• Work with supervisor to finalize bake schedule based on front of house feedback on the selection and quantity
• Bake according to the baking schedule
• Maintain inventory and report to supervisor if ingredients or supplies are running low and place order if needed
• Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers, providing guidance and support to new trainees as necessary

Qualification:

• Completion of secondary school is required
• Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers OR completion of a college or other program for bakers OR 2+ of commercial baking experience is usually required
• On-the-job training is provided.
• Ability to time-manage and work under pressure is required
