Job Tile: Food Service Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Vacancy: 1 vacancy is available

Wage Rate and hours: $20 per hour, 40 hours per week, occasional overtime is required.

Start date: as soon as possible

Job Location: 335 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC, V6C 05C, Canada.

Work setting: Food service Restaurant

Job requirements:

Language: English

Education: No education is required.

Experience: 8 months-2 years of relevant experience in Food preparation or service sector is required. Supervisory experience in relevant sector is an asset.

Supervision: 3-6 Crew members per shift, Food and beverage servers, Kitchen staff such as cook, food counter attendants and food preparers

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Job duties:

  • Ensure that food and service meet the quality control standards as per the company policy
  • Ensuring that proper sanitation, safety and hygiene procedures are being followed by the staff
  • Train new crew members in job duties
  • Train crew members for new menu items as introduced by the company
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of dine-in area, food perp area, washrooms etc. and assign these duties to crew members as required
  • Prepare daily sheets such as food wastage reports, food temperature logs etc.
  • Ensure that store signage is as per company’s promotions
  • Train crew members for new and up-to date company policies and procedures
  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the duties of kitchen staff and servers
  • Maintain ingredients and supplies for each shift and place inventory orders for such items as required
  • Handle customer complaints
  • Report to management and attend meetings as required
  • Prepare sales reports per shift
