• Salary: $18.00/ hour

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience of preparing popular Indian cuisine items in a commercial kitchen.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Overtime required, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure

SPECIFIC SKILLS

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods,
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies,
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food,
• Order supplies and equipment,
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers,
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment,
• Clean kitchen and work areas,
• Manage kitchen operations
