Position Summary: 

Sea Star Education Ltd. is seeking highly motivated Early Childhood Education workers to join its team. This role requires the developmetn and implementation of child-care programs that support and promote the physical. cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. 

Job Details: 

Work Location : 425 Sixth St, New Westminster, BC V3L 3C8

Salary : $19.00 to $21.00 / hour (To be negotiated) 

Vacancy: 5 Vacancies 

Status: Permanent Employment, Full time, 30 to 40 hours/ week 

Requirement: As soon as possible 

Employment Conditions: Morning, Day

Job Requirements: 

Languages: English

Education: College/CEGEP

Experience: Experience an asset 

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Noisy 

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate

Work Setting: Child care center, urban area, relocation costs covered by employer

Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, Values and ethics, Reliability, Judgement, Team player

Tasks: 

Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor, Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members, Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Medical exam, Tuberculosis test

 

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

 

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling
