Wanted a professional chef specialized in traditional Greek food. Most have at least 5 years exp. and provided confirmation of experience.
$28.00 p/h - 36 h/r - 6 days p/w - 4 to 9 pm.
Must be willing to work extra hours when necessary.We are searching for a Head Chef highly skilled and experienced in Greek Cuisine. You will be a part of bringing a traditional Greek experience to the city. The individual will be experienced in:
• The preparation and cooking of complete meals or specialty traditional Greek foods, such as, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry and fish dishes, and create decorative food displays for special events such as banquets
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
• Marination and building, particularly gyros
• Create new traditional Greek/ Mediterranean recipes
• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
• Some consultations for catering opportunities and speciality functions may be required
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
• Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
• Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
• Recruit, hire and train apprentices and existing staff
