Hours:                                            35-40/week 
Salary:                                            $42.00/hr 
Overtime:                                      As per provincial standards - $63.00 after 8hrs/day, 40hrs/wk
Observed Holidays:                  As outlined on labour.gov.bc.ca – 10 holidays/yr

Education:                                    Completion of a Business Administration or related credential
                                                            would be an asset, but not required
Experience:                                 

• At least five years in supervisory (or better) role in food production or similar environment
  • Will consider transferrable skills during evaluation
  • Ability to interact with all levels of business units and managers

Job Duties

• Manage and schedule all production and operations employees and maintain a positive labour environment
• Manage and develop production plans and systems which will increase productivity, quality, while lowering costs – plan and organization of equipment layout to promote efficiency, placement and storage of materials, etc.
• Manage production and throughput of product – flow of materials into the production system, efforts of team members, etc.
• Oversee and guide recruitment efforts, approve new hires, and organize onboarding
• Drive continuous improvement in operations, health and safety and product quality by implementing training to ensure personnel are competent to carry out functions related to operations, health and safety, legality and product quality
• Oversee and approve repair and maintenance scheduling in order to keep equipment in peek running order while minimizing production disruption
• Processing appropriate paperwork such as approving raw material orders, inventory and dating reports, reviewing daily production reports
• Work with internal and external departments to set budgets, coordinate planned activities, and accomplish company goals.
• Ensure that effective manufacturing practices are continually utilized while meeting health and safety regulations.
