Permanent Position: Structural Iron Worker (NOC 72105)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Main Location: Abbotsford, BC

Work Location: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, as per company contracts.

Wage rate: $32.92 per hour (40 hours per week)

Education:  Completion of High School

Experience: 2-3 year of experience in related filed.

Language: English.

Job Duties:

• Align, weld or bolt units in place
• Install reinforcing steel & iron
• Assemble and erect metal buildings & frames
• Fabricate and repair ornamental iron and non-ferrous components
• Install structural and architectural pre-cast concrete components,
• Erect structural steel
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
• Signal crane operators to position units according to blueprints,
• Dismantle metal, pre-cast concrete or laminated timber buildings and other structures,
• Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures,
• Unload and position steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed 

Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, overtime if required.

Working Conditions: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs). Should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain, or shine

Essential Skills: Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory.

Other Information: Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada. Position is available and open to Aboriginal persons, youth, new immigrants.
