Job description:


Afra Construction has been operating since 2009 as a general contractor, construction manager, and design-builder, with a diverse portfolio ranging from new constructions to major renovations and remodels.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the daily on-site operations for our projects. Your leadership will help shape and drive our success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure all construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Coordinate and schedule daily and weekly work activities, assign duties to site crews, and monitor productivity and progress.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and communicate instructions to workers and subcontractors.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as required to maintain continuous workflow and meet project deadlines.
  • Prepare production, progress, and other site reports to track work performed, materials used, and manpower on site.
  • Resolve work-related problems, provide technical advice, and recommend effective measures to improve productivity, workmanship, and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations and enforce company safety procedures on site.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including hiring, training, discipline, and promotions, in consultation with project management.
  • Inspect completed work to verify adherence to specifications, codes, and quality standards, and identify corrective actions when necessary.
  • Liaise with engineers, site managers, and suppliers to coordinate work and address design, material, or scheduling issues.
  • Train and guide crew members, promoting skill development and adherence to safe and efficient work practices.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports summarizing progress, delays, and resource usage to the Project Manager or company head office.

 

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: minimum 3 years in a similar role.

Work Term: Permanent
Work Language: English
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Salary: $30.74 hourly
