Position Summary

Good Friend HR Company is seeking meat cutters.  The main responsibilities of this position are cleaning and preparing meat for production and operating machinery to process and package meat products.  You will be required to follow established procedures to ensure that the final product meets the organization’s specifications, as well as food safety standards.

Job Detail

Job Title: Meat Cutter – Retail or Wholesale

Positions Available: 4

Salary: $14.50 per hour for 40 hours per week

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Language: English

Start Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Vacation: 4% of gross salary in lieu of vacation time

Work Location:  Surrey

Employment conditions: Must be available to work early morning, morning, day, or evening shift.  The position is physically demanding and you will be standing for extended periods of time. 

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience desired.  On-the-job training will be provided.

Job Description

• Remove bones from meat
• Clean and prepare fish and shellfish
• Grind meats
• Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
• Prepare special orders
• Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
• Cut carcasses, sides and quarters
• Wrap and package prepared meats
• Weigh meats for sale
• Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
