The Wharf Rat Rally is held in Digby, Nova Scotia during the week prior to, and including Labour Day Weekend in September each year. The rally started in 2004 with 750 motorbikes and has grown to become one of the largest motorbike rallies in Atlantic Canada.
The heart of the rally is in the central core of the Town of Digby, with concerts and activities planned around the town’s streetscape and waterfront. Those activities include music, vendors, raffles, demonstrations, games, shows and guided tours.
The Wharf Rat Rally Motorcycle Association is registered and managed as a non-profit organization.
In our goal to achieve longevity, growth and stainability the Wharf Rat Rally Motorcycle Association is seeking to procure a senior event leader on contract each year to plan and execute the Wharf Rat Rally, starting with 2020.

In collaboration with the Wharf Rat Rally (WRR) Board of Directors, operationalize the business plan conducted in 2019, implementing key changes and recommendations to deliver a financially successful 2020 WRR. This includes, but is not limited to the following activities:
At the conclusion of this project, the proponent will hand over all materials collected and created. All work products are the property of the Wharf Rat Rally Motorcycle Association.

The proponent must possess the following qualifications and show demonstrated experience in:
Demonstrate an understanding of the responsibilities outlined in section 2.0, and demonstrate how your past experience meets the required qualifications outlined in section 3.0.
The candidate must provide a resume that outlines key skills and experiences.
Three References should be provided that supports the experience and skills outlined in section 2.0.
The candidate will provide examples of plans for risk mitigation, and the added value they bring to the Rally. The candidate will provide a description of how they would work with the Board in terms of guidance and knowledge transfer.
Submissions will be considered by the Wharf Rat Rally Motorcycle Association Board of Directors. Candidate qualifications must be satisfactory to funding partners including the Nova Scotia Department of Communities Culture and Heritage, and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
