Job Title
- Assistant Buyer - (NOC 6222)
Job Responsibilities/Duties
- Purchase merchandise for resale by retail or wholesale establishments
- Review requirements of establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
- Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials and visit trade shows and supplier/vendors factories in remote Africa.
- Select the merchandise which best fits the establishment's requirements
- Interview suppliers/vendors and negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements
- Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets and maintain adequate stock levels. Establish and maintain contact with suppliers
- Responsible for maintaining inventory levels required for effective company operations
- Reviewing purchase agreements and maintaining open lines of communication with our vendors/suppliers
- Reconcile receiving errors with shipping as well as follow up with suppliers as needed to confirm or change orders
Terms of Employment
- Permanent, Full-Time
- 35 hours per week
- $25.50 - $27.50 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Employment Qualification and Experience Requirement
- Completion of college diploma
- 2 – 3 years of related work experience
