Job description:

JHL Contractors Ltd is looking to hire 15 full time permanent Farm Workers (NOC 8131) to join its team.

Business Location: 205 - 6678 152 Street, Surrey, BC V3S 3L4

Work Locations:

• 21710 Allard Crescent, Langley, BC V1M 3W1
• 18450 Dewdney Trunk Rd, Pitt Meadows, BC V3Y 2R9        
• 1794 Peardonville Rd, Abbotsford, BC, V4X 2M4

Vacancies: 15

Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent

Start date: As Soon as Possible.

Wage: $15.20 per hour for 40 hours per week

Benefits:

• Accommodation will be provided at $30/week (if required)
• Relocation expenses and private health insurance covered by the employer until the worker is covered by the appropriate provincial health insurance plan.
• Transportation facility will be provided to the workers from their residence to the farm by the employer (if required)
• Benefits as per Employment Standards Act (Vacation Pay 4% of gross salary will be paid on each scheduled payday)

Job duties:

• Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
• Fertilize and spray crops
• Harvest crops
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Detect disease and health problems in crops
• Examine produce for quality and prepare for market

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Wet/damp

Employment Requirements: No Language required, No Education required; No Experience required, will train.
