Job Description:

Our Area Sales Manager position is vast and serves as an intermediary between ourselves and our customers. Essentially, this position will plan, direct and administer activities related to the sales and distribution of our products; manage pricing and evaluate the effectiveness, demand, and upcoming trends to ensure that our products remain relevant and meet the demands of our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong working relationship with our customers and ensure they remain such
  • Expand and build new relationships in joint effort with your sales team
  • Set sales targets and strategies and ensure that sales staff works towards meeting them
  • Manage, train and mentor sales team in order to communicate marketing campaigns; effectively negotiate sales; and steadily drive towards increased revenues;
  • Monitor team’s performance and help to motivate them to reach their targets
  • Plan, organize, prepare, direct, and control area sales staff and related policies & procedures
  • May be involved in recruitment efforts, but will be involved in hiring for your team
  • May be required to perform sales visits to resolve problems or attain feedback
  • Allocate account responsibility to sales staff and monitor to ensure continued viability
  • Anticipate, research, and report on upcoming/future changes in purchasing trends and ensure that such knowledge is factored into the planning of the department’s strategy; resource planning; and if necessary, procedural adaptations
