Job Description

ALL TYPE CONTRACTING LTD based at 10231 Semiahmoo Road Surrey BC V3T 3N5 is eagerly looking for 3 Steel stud Framers- carpentry to join its team to work all over the Lower Mainland.

Job Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware.
• Supervise apprentices and other construction workers

Employment requirements

Completion of secondary school is required.

2 or more years of work experience in the trade Or Completion of a 2-3-year apprenticeship program in Framing carpentry.

Satisfactory communication skills in English

Ability to lift heavy objects such as framed Walls or studs

Ability to work effectively in adverse weather conditions

Ability to bend, stand, lift, carry for extended hours

Benefits

As per mutual agreement and BC Employment standards act 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation time or option to choose 10 days of paid vacation with no vacation pay with gross salary. 5 Days of Paid Sick Leave Per Year. Transportation to and from work location will be provided free of cost in company vehicle.
