Cook

Westview Oriental Restaurant Ltd. is looking for a competent Cook.

Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is preferred.

Several years of commercial cooking experience is required

Wage: C$ 16.25/ hour

Working Hour: 40 hours working / week

Benefit: 10 days of paid vacation per year

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Location: 108 – 2609 Westview Drive, North Vancouver, BC, V7N 4M2

Language: English

Job Duties:

• Ability and background experience to prepare and cook Chinese cuisine including various regional noodle, rice, vegetable, and meat dishes
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Oversee kitchen staff and operations as well as inventory management, work with vendors and suppliers and record and rotate food, supplies, etc. to avoid spoilage 
• Recommending special ideas for cooking
• Plan menus, determine size of food portion, estimate food cost.
