Job description:

  • Position Title: Human Resource Manager (0112)
  • Terms of Employment (Full Time, Part Time, Casual): Full time permanent with 37.5 hours/week
  • Salary: $47/hour
  • Language of work: English

Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigation.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

 

Education and Experience required:

- Bachelor’s degree is required.

- A minimum 3 years of experience in human resource management.

 

Start Date: July 4th 2022

 

Major Responsibility:

  • Understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provide support to management when complex and sensitive questions and issues arise, including providing special accommodations, investigation of wrongdoing allegations, and terminations.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified applicants, based on the organization’s current state; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for long-term business development and expansion.
  • Research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Create employee programs and initiatives that provide internal professional development opportunities for employees.
  • Maintain compliance with provincial and federal employment regulations; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
