Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Perform preventive maintenance
-Loading and unloading cargo.
-Deliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning around several provinces or cities.
-Prepare log-book of the trips completed and maintaining the accuracy of records to be in compliance with Transportation Safety Board.
-Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
-Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
-Record amount and type of cargo being delivered and also keep proof of delivery documents.
