Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a full-time Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Peace River, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in every prescription they handle, following standards in compounding, and adhering to all regulations as per policy.
Main Duties (as per NOC 32124)
- Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate
- Enter client information in databases
- Prepare medications for clients
- Compound pharmaceutical products in collaboration with pharmacists
- Supervise and direct the activities of other medical technologists or technicians
- Help with scheduling and workflow
- Bill third-party insurers
- Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products
Requirements
- A two-year pharmacy technician college program or completion of a two- to three-year college program in pharmaceutics and supervised practical training.
- Active licensure with Alberta College of Pharmacy.
- Wage: $28.50 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week
