Permanent Position: Long Haul Truck Driver (NOC #73300)

Wage Rate: $33.60 Hourly, for 35-60 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, day, morning, evening, overtime if required.
Education: High School.
Experience: 1 years to 2 years of Experience.
Languages: English.
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement or an equivalent license in another jurisdiction.

Job Duties:
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Loading and unloading of goods.
• Plan travel schedules and routes use atlases and other trip planning aids.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatcher.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.
Other: Operate units; hauling freight throughout Canada/U.S. Candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
