Responsibilities

Tasks

• Inspect vehicle surfaces and review repair orders to determine refinishing requirements.

• Prepare damaged and repaired surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filing, and masking prior to painting.

• Mix and match automotive paints to achieve accurate colour and finish consistency.

• Apply primers, sealers, base coats, and clear coats using spray equipment and paint booths.

• Refinish vehicle panels to restore factory appearance following collision repairs.

• Inspect completed paint work for quality, uniformity, and defects; perform touch-ups as required.

• Maintain and clean spray guns, paint booths, and related equipment.

• Follow manufacturer specifications and shop standards for paint application and curing.

• Comply with workplace safety procedures and proper handling of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials.

• Coordinate with body repair technicians and estimators to ensure timely and accurate completion of repairs.
