Responsibilities
Tasks
- Prepare and cook food items as per the restaurant’s menu and instructions.
- Set up the cooking station before service with required ingredients and supplies.
- Follow recipes to ensure food tastes and looks the same every time.
- Cook food using grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
- Make sure food is cooked properly and served on time.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Follow food safety and hygiene rules while handling food.
- Check food quality before sending it out for service.
- Help with food prep like cutting, marinating, and portioning.
- Work as a team with other kitchen staff during work hours.
- Store food properly and report low stock to the supervisor.
- Clean utensils, equipment, and kitchen surfaces after use.
