Home Child Care Provider – Kitchener, ON

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Wage: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour (negotiable)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care ensuring the child’s safety at all times.
- Prepare and serve age-appropriate meals and snacks.
- Assist with daily routines, including diaper changes.
- Plan and engage the child in play and developmental activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment for the child.
- Establish and follow consistent nap and sleep schedules.
- Support the child’s emotional development through positive interaction and reassurance.
- Monitor the child’s behaviors, milestones, and report progress to parents.
- Take the child outdoors for supervised and recreational activities.
- Teach basic social, language, and motor skills appropriate for the child’s age.
Requirements

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience

Ability to work flexible hours (morning, evening, night, weekend, and on-call as required)

Criminal record check and basic security clearance

Strong sense of responsibility, patience, and reliability

Good communication skills in English
