Home Child Care Provider – Kitchener, ON

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Wage: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour (negotiable)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care ensuring the child’s safety at all times.
• Prepare and serve age-appropriate meals and snacks.
• Assist with daily routines, including diaper changes.
• Plan and engage the child in play and developmental activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment for the child.
• Establish and follow consistent nap and sleep schedules.
• Support the child’s emotional development through positive interaction and reassurance.
• Monitor the child’s behaviors, milestones, and report progress to parents.
• Take the child outdoors for supervised and recreational activities.
• Teach basic social, language, and motor skills appropriate for the child’s age.

Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience

• Ability to work flexible hours (morning, evening, night, weekend, and on-call as required)

• Criminal record check and basic security clearance

• Strong sense of responsibility, patience, and reliability

• Good communication skills in English
