Position Overview – Store Supervisor

Trancevape Canada Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Store Supervisor to join our Victoria location. This role is ideal for an individual who demonstrates strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and a clear understanding of responsible retail operations in a regulated environment.

The Store Supervisor will support day-to-day store operations while ensuring strict adherence to age-verification requirements, company policies, and applicable laws governing the sale of vape products. The successful candidate will lead by example, foster a respectful and customer-focused workplace, and help maintain a safe, compliant, and organized retail setting. While prior experience in vape retail or other regulated industries is considered an asset, the primary focus is on leadership ability, professionalism, ethical conduct, and a genuine commitment to responsible customer service. Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide retail staff to ensure professional customer service and responsible sale of age-restricted vape products and accessories.
• Assign daily work schedules and oversee routine store operations, including stocking, merchandising, shelf labelling, and store cleanliness.
• Verify customer age and enforce all vape-related sales restrictions in accordance with federal and provincial regulations.
• Support staff with product knowledge, customer inquiries, and point-of-sale transactions to ensure accurate and compliant sales.
• Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, restock shelves, and report low or damaged stock to management.
• Oversee cash handling, opening and closing procedures, and basic POS operations, including refunds and exchanges.
• Handle customer concerns or complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive in-store experience.
• Assist with training new employees in store procedures, compliance requirements, and customer service standards.
• Implement basic loss prevention and store security practices.
• Support in-store promotions, product displays, and seasonal merchandising as directed by management.
• Perform other related supervisory duties required for smooth daily store operations.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Completion of secondary school.
• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service; prior experience in a supervisory or key-holder role is an asset.
• Ability to supervise staff, assign daily tasks, and support smooth store operations.
• Strong verbal communication skills to interact with customers and guide staff effectively.
• Customer-focused mindset with a professional and responsible approach to selling age-restricted products.
• Basic organizational skills to manage inventory tasks, cash handling, and daily store routines.
• Ability to address customer concerns and routine operational issues in a calm and respectful manner.
• Willingness to learn and follow all policies related to age verification, regulatory compliance, and store procedures.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays as required by retail operations.
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in line with store operations.
