Title: Long Haul Truck Drivers (NOC 73300)
Employer: Tokic Transport Ltd.
Address: 6389 Beresford Street, Burnaby, BC V5E 1B3                                                                            Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: $37.00, minimum 40 hours per week with potential for 60 hours weekly
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Positions available: 5
Education: Not required
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's License (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience: Experience as a long-haul truck driver is an asset
Languages: English is mandatory

Main duties:

• Mountain driving expertise
• Professionalism in customer service
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Transportation/Travel Information: Must be able to travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods, willing to travel overnight.
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test.
Work Location Information: Various locations (Canada and the USA)
