Job Title: Construction Estimator (NOC 22303)
T&F Property Maintenance is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Estimator to join our team in Nepean, ON. This is a permanent, full-time position for an individual ready to handle the complexities of commercial construction estimating and provide high-level support to our Project Director.
Job Overview
• Location: Nepean, ON , K2H 8W2.
• NOC Code: 22303 — Construction Estimator.
• Work Location: On-site (Physical presence required; no remote option).
• Salary: $38.00 hourly / 40 hours per week.
• Terms: Permanent, Full-time (Day shift).
• Start Date: As soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
• Cost Analysis: Prepare detailed estimates of labor, material costs, general expenses, and overheads.
• Tender & Bid Support: Directly support the Project Director with bid submissions and the preparation of comprehensive tender documents.
• Technical Review: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications (such as architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans) to determine precise work requirements.
• Documentation: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms; prepare pre-qualification submissions for clients.
• Project Oversight: Utilize quantity take-off procedures and set up cost monitoring/reporting systems to monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
• Vendor Management: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
• Collaboration: Liaise and communicate effectively with engineers, architects, owners, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree (Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred).
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.
• Specialization: Experience in commercial and/or industrial construction, project coordination, and project management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADD, and specialized estimating packages.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and spreadsheet software.
• Licensing: Valid driver's licence (willingness to travel to site locations is required).
