Dry Link Construction Ltd., located in Surrey, BC, is currently hiring 3 full-time Drywall Installers to work with their growing team. The candidates must be active, independent, and eager to work as a team.

Number of positions: 3

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: $36.80 per hour 

Start date: As soon as possible
Work locations(s): Surrey, BC and various other job sites in the Lower Mainland area (BC) as per the company’s contracts with its clients.

Job duties:

• Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings. 
• Install drywall sheets and secure them to wooden or metal studs.
• Organize and carry out work procedures for installation and removal.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners. 
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound. 
• Tape the joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound. 
• Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry before applying additional layers. 
• Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Follow all occupational health and safety procedures on the work site.

Job requirements: 

• Completion of secondary school required.
• Completion of an Apprenticeship program in the trade or a Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar trade is required.
• Effective communication skills.
