Job description:
Location: 5000 Yonge Street Suite 1901, North York ON, M2N 7E9 (Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee)
Salary: $36.25 hourly/ 30 hours per Week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements and specifications
- Prepare layouts and work plans in compliance with building codes using measuring and marking tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials such as wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other construction materials
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and various hardware components
- Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and design standards
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects efficiently
- Inspect completed work and make adjustments or repairs as needed
- Work is performed in construction and renovation settings, including residential and commercial sites
- Tasks may involve working at heights, in noisy or dusty conditions
- Work requires hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, and construction of wooden structures
- Ability to adapt to various work environments while ensuring safety and quality standards
Eligibility Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in similar role
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills, with a high standard of customer service.
- Perform physically demanding tasks including bending, crouching, kneeling, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- Handle heavy materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards
- Demonstrate accuracy, sound judgement, and reliability in all tasks
- Maintain a client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
- Exhibit punctuality, teamwork, and the ability to collaborate effectively
