Nature of position:      Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

Wage:                          $37.00 - $45.00 per hour (dependent on experience). A bonus may be paid from time-to-time, at the sole discretion of the employer.

Vacation:                     4% in lieu of paid vacation days

JOB DUTIES. The following duties will be performed in this position:

• Wash, cut, trim, style, and color client’s hair according to their instructions
• Shave beard or mustache to the client’s specifications
• Utilize haircut instruments to style and cut hair
• Keep the station, tools, and equipment sanitized and in good condition
• Provide hairstyle suggestions and haircare advice to clients

REQUIREMENTS. The successful applicant will possess, at a minimum, the following skills and experience:

• Completion of secondary school is required
• Completion of a barber program or apprenticeship, or previous experience as a barber, is required
• Knowledge of current hairstyles and trends
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time
