Work Schedule: Overnight / Evening / Weekend shifts required (24-hour restaurant operation)

 Job Description

The Owl of Minerva on Bloor is a busy 24-hour Korean restaurant in Toronto seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support overnight operations and ensure efficient restaurant management. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating restaurant operations, managing staff performance, and maintaining high standards of service and food quality.

 Job Duties

– Coordinate and oversee restaurant operations during overnight shifts in a 24-hour restaurant environment

– Train and mentor kitchen and service staff to ensure operational efficiency and service quality

– Assist with staff scheduling and performance monitoring

– Manage inventory levels and coordinate ordering of food and kitchen supplies

– Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

– Address customer concerns and maintain high standards of customer service

– Assist with menu planning, cost control, and operational improvements

– Support the restaurant manager in maintaining efficient overnight operations

Terms of Employment : Permanent, Full-time

Wages : $36.00 hourly for 30 hours per week.

Benefits : 4% days of paid vacation.

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements

• Completion of secondary school required.
• 2 year to less than 3 years in the food service industory, preferably previous leadership or supervisory experience in a restaurant industry
• Speak English, Read English, Write English
• Ability to work overnight shift in a 24-hour restaurant operation

Credentials

• Smart Serve Certification
• Safe food Handling Certificate
