Currently, we are seeking motivated and reliable Carpenter Helpers to join our growing team. This position is well suited for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are interested in gaining practical experience in cabinetry manufacturing and installation. Carpenter Helpers play an important role in supporting carpenters and cabinetmakers in workshop and on-site activities, helping ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the high-quality standards our clients expect.

Position Description

 

Position:  Carpenter Helper

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

No of positions: 2

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland, BC and as per company’s contract.

 

Salary & Benefits

 

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Overtime and Vacation Pay

Stable & full-time employment

Relocation Assistance: Up to $2000 to a qualified candidate

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist carpenters and cabinetmakers in the manufacturing and installation of kitchen cabinets and interior wood products.
  • Load, unload, and transport wood, plywood, laminates, and other cabinetry materials to work areas or installation sites.
  • Support the assembly of cabinet components such as frames, drawers, and doors according to specifications and design plans.
  • Assist in measuring, marking, and cutting wood and wood substitutes using hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Sand, smooth, and prepare wooden surfaces and assist in applying finishes, stains, or laminates to complete cabinetry products.
  • Assist with the installation of kitchen cabinets, countertops, and related fixtures at residential renovation or construction sites.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies while performing duties.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and within required timelines.
  • Perform other related support duties as assigned to assist with cabinetry production and installation.

 

Qualification & Requirements

 

  • No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, equipment, and materials.
  • Excellent team player with good English communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and implement new techniques and tools.
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
